ITE Western District Annual Meeting
This year the ITE Western District Annual Meeting was jam packed with fun events in beautiful San Diego, CA in June. The Annual Meeting was filled with technical presentations, networking, awards, competitions and young professional sessions.
Traffic Bowl
We sent four ITE members to represent Oregon State as a part of our Traffic Bowl team. For the third year in a row, OSU ITE made it to the final round of the Jeopardy! style game with questions related to traffic engineering. It came down to the Final Jeopardy question but unfortunately the team was unable to come away with the win and the chance to compete at the International Meeting in Toronto, Canada. However, this was the third consecutive year that OSU ITE placed second in the heated competition!

Student Chapter Award
As a Chapter, Oregon State ITE also won Honorable Mention for the Student Chapter of the Year Award, placing us as the second best chapter in the Western District, based on all of the events that we held over the 2016-17 school year. Thanks to all of our members for helping us rise to the top of the Western District through all of your support and participation!

OSU Alumni
In addition to our OSU student Traffic Bowl team, many of our OSU alumni were well represented at the Annual Meeting. OSU alum Robi Isalm was on-site in San Diego to give demonstrations of TTS’ new technology in Audi vehicles that he had introduced to our students during a speaker meeting this past spring. Several other OSU alums could also be found throughout the conference giving technical presentations and speaking on panels. In addition, this year’s recipient of the ITE Western District Lifetime Achievement Award was OSU alum Randy McCourt for his outstanding services in the interest of the Western District and his professional achievements in transportation engineering.
