Club Awards and Honors
Congratulations are in order for our faculty advisor, Dr. David Hurwitz, for winning the Oregon State SSO (Sponsored Student Organization) Advisor of the Year Award! This award recognizes a
faculty or staff advisor who take the extra time to ensure that their respective club/organization has success and develops a team atmosphere. This speaks a lot to the influence that Dr. Hurwitz has on our student chapter and the work that he puts in to help us succeed. If you happen to see him around, tell him congrats!
This year was particularly significant for our student chapter, however, as we took home some
amazing awards…
- Western District Student Chapter of the Year: Oregon State ITE
- Western District Student of the Year: Kayla Fleskes
- Western District Faculty Advisor of the Year: Dr. David Hurwitz
- Western District Traffic Bowl: OSU ITE placed 2nd
So not only were we the student chapter of the year, but one of our students got the student of the year award and our advisor got the advisor of the year award.
This at the Annual Meeting showed the depth of our ITE student chapter and the OSU Transportation program.
